Synthesis and Crystal Structure of a New Representative of the Family of Aqueous Diphosphates: (NH4)2[MG3(P2O7)2(H2O)2]

摘要
Single crystals of new compound (NH4)(2)[Mg-3(P2O7)(2)(H2O)(2)], belonging to the set of aqueous diphosphates with the general formula A(2)M(3)[P2O7](2)(H2O)(2), where A = K, NH4, Rb, Na, M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, have been obtained for the first time by hydrothermal synthesis at T = 553 K and P = 7 MPa. The new compound has unit-cell parameters a = 9.3047(2) angstrom, b = 8.0843(2) angstrom, c = 9.3655(3) angstrom, beta = 100.225(1)degrees. The crystal structure model has been determined within the sp. gr. P2(1)/c with an accuracy up to R = 0.0235. Raman spectra have been obtained for compounds of this structural type for the first time, and the incorporation of water molecule into the (NH4)(2)[Mg-3(P2O7)(2)(H2O)(2)] structure and formation of complex phosphate groups P2O7 is confirmed.
