:
Switch it on: η6-arene-transition-metal complexes are significant intermediates in organic chemistry; however, their use in C-H functionalization remain largely unexplored. Recently, new methodologies for the Pd-catalyzed C-H activation of unreactive sp2 and sp3 bonds that rely on the efficient activation of arenes by π-complexation have been developed. These reactions significantly expand the toolbox of modern C-H activation methods. © 2015 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
