摘要
A CFD model based on OpenFOAM is used to study the performance of a wedge-shaped wave maker in a wave tank. The numerical wave generation is conducted using the ability of a Navier-Stokes model to reproduce with accuracy the interaction of a moving rigid body, the wedge shaped wave maker in this case, with the water. The numerical results are compared with experimental results from the operation of the tank in various conditions in order to verify the adequacy of the numerical model. An experimental study of the performance of a flap type wave absorber is also presented.
