Higher-order methods for finding irregular solutions of non-linear operator equations

Non-linear operator equations which cannot be solved by conventional iteration methods or methods based on a 2-regularity construction are considered. The scheme of a third-order method which converges at a quadratic rate to solutions of one important class of such problems is described. Practical examples are discussed.
