Violence and Power in Heidegger

In this piece we approach the subject of violence along Martin Heidegger's work. Our main aim is to clarify the place of violence and, therefore, the place of the power in view of what Heidegger calls "history of Being", what he calls oblivion of Being, and what he calls abandonment of beings by Being. That's why we must first discuss the positions that Heidegger rejects: those of the members of the Conservative Revolution, particularly the one of Ernst Junger, and Heidegger's own, since he belonged in that circle until early 1936. At the end, we present the concepts of "meditation" and "releasement" as Heidegger's answer and possible proposition in the face of technique's prepotency, that is, in the face of the violence of late Modernity's metaphysics.
