摘要
A patient simulation was created to introduce nursing students to the management of autonomic dysreflexia, a life-threatening complication of spinal cord injury, and the management of distractors. This scenario is described along with the various distractors. Faculty can use this simulation to reinforce knowledge of auto-nomic dysreflexia, teach management of distractors, and develop clinical judgment. With this one simulation experience, faculty can cover multiple objectives. Expansion of simulation libraries, specifically those includ-ing the management autonomic dysreflexia and of distractors, will allow educators to facilitate effective high-fidelity simulated learning experiences.
