摘要：

Anisotropy of microhardness in lithium tetraborate (Li2B4O7) single crystals has been studied by the sclerometry method on the (001) and (00(1) over bar) polar faces. The anisotropy of microhardness is interpreted in terms of anisotropy of bonding in the crystal and the position of the cleavage planes with respect to a moving indenter.
