摘要
In this work, Al nanoparticles are generated using Q switched pulsed Nd:yttrium aluminum garnet laser (1064 and 532 nm) ablation in a water confined plasma at 3, 5, and 10min exposure times. The aim is to investigate the wavelength and exposure time dependence of nanoparticle formation mechanisms. Nanoparticles fabricated by both wavelengths show spherical morphology. The nanoparticles are characterized by transmission electron microscopy and selected area electron diffraction. The nanoparticles are in the crystalline form as bulk Al. Obviously, the chemical composition of the nanoparticle's surface must be Al2O3 because of the water medium. (C) 2016 Laser Institute of America.
