摘要
In sizing defects, tomographic methods such as the Synthetic Aperture Focusing Technique (SAFT) can be used where the time of flight of the received ultrasonic signals plays a more important role than the signal amplitude height. There are two main features of the software, a simulation module, which allows gene-ration of a CAD-drawing of the component to place and automatically scan the search unit, to introduce artificial flaws, and to trace the reflected and mode-converted waves and the reconstruction module based on the principles of SAFT, which allows the generation of 2- and/or 3-dimensional reconstructions on plates, piping, or nozzle-to-shell configurations. For a complex component geometry, the CAD-module can generate the component contour based on measured data and perform data reconstruction by using the actual shape of the real component.
