摘要
Power conversion equipment (PCE) such as rectifier is installed to telecom facilities, which is known for generating common-mode noise to power cables in a frequency range from 100 kHz to 10 MHz. To suppress the common-mode noise without disconnecting the power cables, ferrite-cores are applied, though its insertion loss are less than 5 dB so that it cannot suppress the common-mode noise enough. To solve this problem, authors propose active common-mode noise suppressor (ACNS) which is consist of two ferrite-cores and a feedback amplifier, to suppress the common-mode noise from the PCE for more than 10 dB without disconnecting the power cables. This paper describes a basic principles and development of the ACNS and it is found that the proposed ACNS can suppress the common-mode noise for more than 10 dB in the frequency range from 100 kHz to 8 MHz without disconnecting the power cables, by measuring its insertion loss characteristics in frequency-domain and suppression effect in time-domain.
