Substitution site and photoluminescence spectra of Eu3+-substituted SrTiO3 prepared by Pechini method

摘要
Eu3+-substituted SrTiO3 (Sr1-xEuxTiO3) without second phase has been successfully prepared by Pechini method. X-ray diffraction patterns have suggested that solid-solubility limit would be 1-2 mol% due to large ionic radius difference between Eu3+ and Sr2+. Photoluminescence spectra of Sr1-xEuxTiO3 have shown the intense D-5(0)-F-7(1) transition higher than D-5(0)-F-7(2) transition, which indicates that Eu3+ was substituted for Sr2+ site.
