Local transform-based denoising for radar image processing

摘要：
We consider the problems of speckle removal in radar images. The proposed filtering techniques make use of local DCT denoising based on adaptive thresholding or homomorphic transformation. Two-stage DCT denoising procedure in combination with local statistic filtering axe also introduced and analyzed. The effectiveness of the proposed speckle removal algorithms is demonstrated by means of numerical simulations.
