Alteration of surface properties of poly(1-(trimethylsilyl)-1-propyne) by direct-current discharge treatment

摘要
The effect of direct-current discharge treatment in air on alteration of surface properties (contact angle, surface charge density, and chemical structure of polymer) of poly(trimethylsilylpropyne) was investigated. Substantial hydrophilization of the polymer is primarily associated with high density of a negative surface charge due to trapping of electrons injected from a plasma.
