A low-temperature zirconia oxygen gauge based on new oxide composite electrodes

摘要
A low-temperature zirconia oxygen gauge has been developed. It uses Bi(3)RU(3)O(11)-ZrO2 . Y2O3 as electrode material instead of other ruthenium oxides. The e.m.f. response of the gauge to oxygen follows Nemst's law satisfactorily at temperatures down to 473 K. The gauge has rather low resistance in this temperature range. The response characteristics hardly deteriorate during the test period of 90 days, with response times being less than about 20 s.
