摘要
In this study, the bismuth-barium-borate glasses doped with Eu3+ were prepared by melt-quench technique. For study in physical property, luminescence property and opportunity to apply in laser applications. The results show that doping with Eu3 + at a higher concentration causes an increase in the molar volume of the glass. This cause by expanding of NBOs in glass network. The four peaks of absorption spectra were observed at 526, 585, 2106, and 2222 nm and they show higher intensity when adding more Eu2O3 contents. The electron radiative relaxation from D-5(0) -> F-7(0),F-7(1), F-7(2), F-7(3) and F-7(5) released five emission spectra peaks. Which the 2.5 mol% of Eu3+ is the optimum concentration that shows the strongest emission. The reddish-orange emitting from Eu3+ doped glasses investigated by CIE 1931 chromaticity. The J-O parameters were investigated by J-O theory, the parameters indicate that Eu3+ doped glass has the high potential for using on field of laser medium, LED, and display screen.
