摘要
A meta-analytic review was conducted on 33 studies which examined the relationship between gender and belief in a just world, as determined by either the Belief in a Just World Scale (Rubin & Peplau, 1973, 1975) or the Global Belief in a Just Worm Scale (Lipkus, 1991). The weighted average effect size (d) was .12 which suggests that males are slightly more likely than females to believe in a just world. However; as d was approximately one-tenth of one standard deviation in magnitude, it is unlikely that it differs in any meaningful way from zero.
