摘要
The possibility of boundary layer stabilization by "artificial turbulence", i.e. spanwise-periodic transverse flows induced by mass forces, is considered. It is shown that as the result of additional momentum transfer by the transverse flow the velocity profile in the boundary layer becomes "fuller". This results in the suppression of unstable disturbances and increases the laminar-flow interval by 3-4 times.
