摘要
A fingerprint feature extraction method based on invariant moments and Gabor filters is proposed. The fingerprint image first preprocessed to be enhanced for determining the reference point. Then, a total of sets of invariant moment features and Gabor features are extracted from four partition sub-images of a Region of Interest (ROI) to represent the fingerprint image. Matching the similarity between the feature vectors of test fingerprint images and those of template images is implemented by k-nearest neighbour (k-NN) classifier. The experimental results prove the feasibility of our algorithm.
