摘要
Industrial recycling facilities are permitted to handle certain types of wastes. Depending on the facility, it may handle only solids or only liquids or both. It will be permitted to process hazardous waste and/or nonhazardous waste. The waste codes that are deemed acceptable for storage and process will be specified in the operating permit of that facility. Therefore, when exploring recycling options for your plating waste, it is important to determine the waste code(s) that your waste(s) should carry to help determine your recycle options. Almost all recycling facilities will require a sample on which they will perform a prescreen analysis. From this analysis, processability and cost can usually be determined. Today's industrial recycling facilities are equipped to handle almost all of the waste packaging that is commonly used. If a facility is permitted to handle liquid waste, for instance, they most likely will be able to process these liquids from drums, totes, bulk tankers, etc. Solid handling facilities should be able to process materials coming in dumps, roll-off s, supersacs, gaylord boxes or other common packaging.
