摘要
The essential oil extracted from the leaves and flowers of Phlomis crinita Cav. ssp. mauritanica Munby were obtained by steam distillation and analyzed by gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry. The major constituents of flower oil were beta-caryophyllene (58.1%) and germacrene D (35.1%). This oil inhibited the growth of Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, and Salmonella typhimurium with minimal inhibition concentrations (MIC) varying between 39 and 625 mu g/ml. The essential oil obtained from the leaves was mainly composed of trans-caryophyllene (40.8%) and germacrene D (39.1%) and exhibited an antimicrobial profile against the same strains mentioned above with MIC between 156 mu g/ml and 2.5 mg/ml.
