摘要：
The history of the aircraft noise measurement at airports and associated problems have been outlined. Few methods were available previously to measure the aircraft noise. Technology has been developed to adopt standards to verify the peformance of the systems and recommend measurement units. Projects have been funded for further advancement in this field to make hardware less important.
