A Study on Vibration Characteristics of Brushless DC Motor by Electromagnetic-Structural Coupled Analysis Using Entire Finite Element Model

摘要
A target of this study is to propose a 3-D entire finite element model to analyze the vibration characteristics of a brush-less direct current motor for more accurate results. In this paper, the accuracy of the 3-D entire finite element model is validated by comparing the results of the impact hammer test. Then, the transient analysis induced by the electromagnetic force is carried out using electromagnetic-structural weak coupled analysis and the frequency response characteristics are calculated using fast Fourier transformation. The results of each analysis are experimentally validated and the relative errors of the peak frequency are below 5%. It is found that the electromagnetic vibration characteristics of the motor can be more accurately analyzed using the 3-D entire finite element model.
