摘要:
The use of PPE4 as a selective and sensitive material to detect lead(II) ions in water was discussed. The reaction of 2,5-diiodo-hydroquinone reaction with 2-bromoethyl acetate in butanone in the presence of potassium carbonate yileded the ester. The quencher efficiency expressed by the Stern-Volmer constant, was equal to the complex formation constant of the quencher Q to the polymer. It was found that the reaction of lead acetate with a dilute solution of PPE4 leads to immidiate clouding and formation of a thick fluorescent yellow precipitate.
