Corrosion of Carbon Steel in Typical Water Environments of Thermal Power Plant

摘要
4 types of water of a thermal power plant in Beijing were Selected - turban reclaimed water makeup for recycling cooling water system, recycling cooling water, ultrafiltration (UF) effluent and reverse osmosis (RO) effluent, corrosions of 20 # carbon steel were tested by hanging sheets in this four kinds of water environment. Results showed that corrosion characteristics of carbon steel were different in four kinds of water environment. For recycled water and RO effluent, general corrosions were observed, and for UF effluent and cooling water, localized corrosions were obtained. The average corrosion rates of carbon steel respectively were: 2.0513mm/a in RO effluent, 0.4722mm/a in reclaimed water, 0.2161mm/a in cooling system drainage and 0.1002mm/a in UF effluent.
