A dual mode detector using interference cancellation method for DS-CDMA systems

摘要
A dual-mode multiuser detector that dynamically switches its detection mode between matched filter and Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC) detector based on channel characteristics is proposed. The main criterion of taking SIC detector is that it has minimum Bit Error Rate (BER) among all nonlinear multiuser detectors. This detector reduces overall complexity while maintaining the same performance as SIC detector. The switching mechanism is exploited by performance complexity tradeoff between matched filter detector and SIC detector.
