摘要
An empirical study on multimodal college English speaking and listening teaching is conducted by involving 2 classes as the experiment group and the controlled group, each having 62 non-English majors from a second tier university in Hubei province. Pre-test and post test are administered to the classes. After the multimodal college English speaking and listening teaching, independent sample T-test is employed to examine its effectiveness on students speaking and listening skills. The results show that obvious significant differences exist in the listening and speaking skills between the 2 classes, indicating the effectiveness of the multimodal English speaking and listening teaching, which can be generalized to train non-English majors' English speaking and listening skills in the same level universities.
