摘要
A series of new mixed valence binuclear copper(Il)-copper(l) complexes, viz. [(DAPDH(2))CuCl2] (1), [(DAPDH(2))CuCl2CuCI] (2), [(DAPDH(2))CUCl2CuI] (3) and [(DAPDH(2))CUCl2CuSCN] (4) where DAPDH(2) = 2,6-diacetylpyridine dioxime were synthesised and characterised by means of elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility and spectroscopic techniques. The Cu(I)X (where X = Cl, 1, SCN) and [(DAPDH(2))CUCl2] (1) are attached via two bridging chlorine atoms. UV-vis. and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopic studies established the presence of significant perturbation of the Cu(I)X unit to the electronic structure of the copper(II) ion in [(DAPDH(2))CUCl2] (1).
