摘要
Particulate reinforced epoxy composite is widely used in industrial application. The demand for development of low cost, less weight leads to production of new composite material. In the present study, the carbonized and uncarbonized cattle bone particulates are added into epoxy at different weight percentages from 5 wt% to 25 wt% in steps of 5 wt%. The obtained composite materials are subjected to tensile and flexural strength studies as per ASTM standards. The study reveals that strength is increased in carbonized cattle bone particles compared to uncarbonized bone particles. This is due to increase in addition of cattle bone particles into epoxy composite it was also found that decreases in percentage of elongation. (C) 2018 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
