Plasma chemical technologies can be used as a direct method for the synthesis of liquid hydrocarbons and their derivatives from natural gas by passing the stage of production of synthesis gas. The chemical processes that take place in low-temperature plasma differ from thermal and catalytic processes in a number of specific features. One of these features is the occurrence of plasma processes in nonequilibrium conditions, which makes it possible to successfully conduct thermodynamically difficult reactions. The high controllability and high selectivity for target products of plasma-chemical reactions ensures removal of target products from the plasma state by fast cooling.
