摘要
Toward the design of efficient nanocatalysts, hollow anatase TiO2 nanoparticles around 11.4 nm in size were prepared by a cetyl-trimethylammonium bromide ( CTAB)-assisted hydrothermal method. The catalyst showed high catalytic activity for dichloromethane (DCM) combustion, exhibiting 90% DCM conversion at 201 degrees C. The satisfactory performance of the catalyst was attributed to its hollow texture with many active sites, and the large number of moderately strong acidic sites on the hollow TiO2 surface.
