摘要
The leaves, stern and roots of Sesbania bispinosa, a crop or nutritional value to the soil, have thoroughly been examined to yield all antidiabetic inositol derivative, called (+)-pinitol 1, along with poriferasterol, an uncommuon steroid, and its glucoside and sucrose from the methanol extract. The nonpolar and polar extracts afford saturated and unsaturated common fatty acids along with several terminal and central hydroxy unsaturated lipid derivatives 2-7 whose isolation is reported for the first time.
