摘要
On the properties of adhesive mortars applied to install the ceramic tiles on the backgrounds, frequently a concrete one, big influence has the different admixtures and the most popular is methyl cellulose. In this work the experimental results are presented showing the influence of methyl cellulose of different viscosity on cement mortars properties. The addition of methyl cellulose with viscosity of 70 Pa.s assures very good physical properties of cement mortars. However, in the case of this admixture addition having viscosity of 15 and 40 Pa.s the obtained mortars have much worse properties. It was also found that the methyl cellulose addition has significant influence on the microstructure of hardened mortar.
