摘要
This study covers the results of research on the chromium concentration in plant samples grown on soil contaminated by the waste water generated from the leather industry. The concentration of Cr was measured in the roots, leaves and fruits of tomatoes (Lycopersicon esculentum) and green beans (Phaseolus coccineus) as well as in the roots and leaves of carrots (Daucus carota), beets (Beta vulgaris), nettle (Urtica dioica) and dock (Rumex hydrolapathum). Lime was added to the soil to change its pH, and its effect on the Cr concentration in carrots and beets as well as on the dry matter yield of their roots.
