摘要
A double-balanced inductor-less passive mixer is presented in this paper. The architecture is designed using a switching stage, which consists of two passive single balanced mixers, followed by a common source amplifier. The proposed architecture is designed and implemented at the transistor level in 180 nm CMOS technology at a reduced supply voltage of 1 V. The layout occupies an area of 0.052 mm(2). The post-layout design, along with its Monte-Carlo and two-tone test analyses verify the robustness of the design. The designed mixer operates in the ISM band from 2.4-2.5 GHz, which is suitable for applications such as Bluetooth, WiFi, and ZigBee. The design achieves a conversion gain of 16.15 dB with a power consumption of 0.222 mW. The proposed architecture also features an IIP3 of 1.58 dBm and a 1 dB compression Point of -8.54 dBm.
