Flower-like hybrid composite MoS2/NH2-MIL-101(Cr): A highly efficient photocatalyst for degrading indole under visible light

摘要
A newly flower-like hybrid composite MoS2/NH2-MIL-101(Cr) (MS@NM) with a specific surface area of 245 m(2) g(-1) was successfully synthesized by hydrothermal method. It was found that the flower-like MS@NM composite had excellent photocatalytic properties and the degradation efficiency of indole was up to 98.6% under visible light irradiation with persulfate as oxidant for treating high-concentration indole solution of 50 mg L-1. The formed interfacial bonds of Mo-N and Mo-O bond as well as the close interfacial contact in the flower-like MS@NM composite promoted the transfer of photogenerated electron pairs leading to the high-efficiency degradation for indole. In addition, the MS@NM photocatalyst displayed considerable operation stability and degradation efficiency of indole remaining at 85% after six cycles of use. The possible mechanism of photocatalytic degradation of indole by flower-like MS@NM composite was also proposed. Graphic abstract
