摘要
For almost two millennia. omnipotence has been an attribute of God inseparable from faith in God Recently, and in particular since the twentieth century, the notion of divine omnipotence has been contested from outside the field of theology as well as from within. SOME; theologians have preferred to substitute for omnipotence a notion of powerlessness deliberately assumed by Cod One might question however whether either the affirmation or the denial of omnipotence do not arise from the same type of discourse: a discourse that claims the ability to know, to assert, to question, to dominate. to rule.. What then can be said here of the status of man and of human language? Confronted with the Issue of God's omnipotence, what remains to man as points of reference, what is left of his words, his certitudes?
