摘要：

This study aims to develop a benchmark for the electric Energy Use Intensity (EUI) for residential buildings in Jordan. A benchmark was established through a tailor-designed questionnaire that was distributed on a random sample of senior students of the University of Jordan. About sixty responses were analyzed and the majority were obtained for buildings located in the middle region of Jordan (Amman and Zarqa) where the electricity is distributed by the Jordanian Electric Power Company (JEPCO). And the average electrical (EUI) of 31.6 and, and 22.5 kWh/m2.a for apartments and houses respectively were obtained.
