Blue emission of porous silicon intensified by boron deposition

摘要
The blue light emissions of porous silicon before and after boron-particle coating were investigated. It was found that the blue emission of the porous silicon was enhanced by the boron-particle deposition. The blue emission in porous silicon originated from the recombination of carriers and defects in the oxide layer coated on the wall side of porous silicon. The results show that the blue emission, after aging, shifted in as-prepared porous silicon and its intensity decreased greatly in the coated porous silicon.
