摘要：

The aim of this paper is to discuss the practices/courses of action of women users of public transportation in order to deal with situations of sexual harassment during bus rides, herein understood to be the deployment of the avoiding device: a socio-spatial competence common to women bus passengers, a result of their past and current experiences. We show how, through those, women passengers give continuity to their routine in a scenario marked by their vulnerability and victimization. We based the discussion on a research conducted in the city of Rio de Janeiro.
