摘要：

This article presents the contents of the monographic issue of Arbor, inserting them in the current epistemic and epistemological conditions for the exercise of the humanities, and tracing in social evolution the phenomena that point to the need for humanistic knowledge to collaborate with the social, natural and formal sciences.
