Determination of the relation between stress and strain of matrix in SiCw/Al composite by X-ray diffraction

摘要
The relation between stress and strain of matrix in SiCw/Al composite was investigated using X-ray diffraction technique. The uniaxial strains of composite materials were measured using strain gage while the effective bearing stresses of matrix were measured using X-ray diffaction technique. The results show that the yield strength of matrix in composite is 90 MPa which is 69 MPa higher than that of pure aluminum.
