摘要
The cell wall structure and lignin distribution in the secondary walls of the reaction wood fibers of Osmanthus fragrans var. aurantiacus Makino were investigated. The steins were artificially inclined at angles of 30, 50 and 70 degrees from the vertical to form the reaction wood. In O. fragrans, the reaction wood was formed on the upper side of the sterns, which showed tension wood-like anatomical characteristics, but no G-layer in the wood fibers. The S-2 layers of the reaction wood fibers formed at all inclination angle of 50 degrees seemed to have similar characteristics to the G-layer. In addition, the reaction wood formed at all inclination angle of 50 degrees had a higher degree of development in the reaction wood than in that formed at inclination angles of 30 and 70 degrees, which Suggests that the inclination angle of the stein affects the degree of development in the reaction wood.
