摘要
Applying the matrix transformation, the wavelength-transmission characteristics of the N x N arrayed waveguide grating multiplexer arc analyzed. These wavelength-transmission characteristics include multiplexing, demultiplexing, wavelength routing, and optical path acid and drop multiplexing. The analysis plays an important role in using an AWG multiplexer for it wavelength division multiplexing system. (C) 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
