Anti-bacterial fiber, act as an important functional fiber, has been receiving much attention. At different temperatures, anti-bacterial materials will show different anti-bacterial effect. Some phase change materials have been used in anti-bacterial fiber to achieve the best sterilization results. In this paper, a novel hyperbranched polyurethane solid solid phase change material (HB-PUPCM) was prepared via a three-step process. The morphology and phase change properties of the HB-PUPCM were investigated via differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and wide-angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD). The results show that HB-PUPCM possesses of stable cellular structure and unique phase change properties. The anti-bacterial fiber indicates a lot of exceptional properties by loading the phase change material.
