摘要
The characteristics of series-connected wind power plant with current-source thyristor inverter are investigated through experimental studies. The system is a candidate for a next-generation wind power plant, and it is important to reveal the characteristics of the system. To clarify the availability of the system, the steady-state characteristics and dynamic performances are discussed through experimental investigations. In this paper, the steady-state characteristics of the system are investigated using experimental setup built in our laboratory, and the validity of the steady-state equations is confirmed. Also, it is shown that the system can supply high quality electric power, even though the system configuration is very simple. Furthermore, the dynamic responses of the system when wind speed is changed are explored through the experimental investigations using the experimental setup and are simulated by a simulation model based on Matlab/Simulink for instantaneous values.
