Mechanisms of deformation-induced destruction of long-range order related to the generation of antiphase boundaries and point defects in alloys with the L12 superstructure

摘要
Destruction of long-range order because of the generation of antiphase boundaries (APBs) and point defects in the ordered alloy in the process of plastic deformation is considered. A relationship is obtained that permits one to estimate the changes in the average value of the long-ranee order parameter (as determined by X-ray scattering) that are related to the multiplication of APBs. Estimates are given For the intensity of multiplication of APBs for the mechanisms related to (a) the deformation-induced multiplication of thermal APBs; (b) the generation of APB tubes by jogs moving conservatively along screw dislocations; and (c) climb of edge superdislocations. Changes in the degree of long-range order are considered that are related to the introduction ("deposition") of interstitial atoms generated by deformation into vacant sites. Correspondingly, intensities are estimated of changes in the long-range order parameter in alloys with the L1(2) superstructure upon plastic deformation.
