摘要：

Recently, Lee et a]. proposed a fingerprint-based remote user authentication scheme using smart card which is called the LRY scheme. Their scheme not needs a password table to verify the legitimacy of login user. They use a fingerprint verification to enhance the security. However, we shall show that the Lee et al. scheme is vulnerable to the masquerade attack in this article. An evil user can derive a legal user's password in that masquerade as the user Furthermore, we shall propose m enhanced scheme to repair the security flaw of LRY scheme.
