摘要
An EMTP-ATP simulation model of a 550 kV HVDC transmission Line Surge Arrester (LSA) is presented. In addition to the LSA models, the tower, insulators, conductors, grounding resistance are also included in the simulation. The EMTP-ATP simulations models are used to calculate the expected overvoltages caused by direct impact to the power conductor and direct impact to the tower (tower strike).
