Analysis of cutting forces during sanding of native wood

摘要
This paper gives the results of the dependence of cutting force per unit area on specific pressure during sanding of chosen wood species - pine, oak, maple, spruce and poplar in various sanding directions relate to wood grains (along grains, with the angle of 60degrees to grain and perpendicular to grains). Experimental measurements were realised on hand belt sander GBS 100AE - Bosch, at specific pressures 1.04, 1.47, 1.86 and 2.06 N cm(2). Grit size of sand belts was 40, 80, 120. The results showed that the values of cutting force per unit area of cut increase for each kinds of wood with specific pressure in range from 1.04 to 1.86 N cm(-2), further increasing of specific pressure influences variously on these chosen wood species with decreasing of cutting force or with obtaining of the same value.
