摘要：

The possibility of evaluating the physical state of a soil from the curve that describes the dependence between its plastic strength and the moisture content, which demonstrates a wide range between the elastic-brittle and liquid soil states, was considered. A correlation was revealed between the curve of strength and that of the basic writer retention curve.
